Help With Media Center syncing to my Zune?

I have an 80Gb Zune. I have an HP Slimline with a TV Tuner (It came with the Tuner) and Vista Home premium. I am recording them on Dish Network. I found I could convert the file using windows movie maker. But this will take to long.


I recorded Cops from my tv to my recorded tv folder. but i want to put it on my Zune. I have that folder watched on my settings but none of the recorded shows show up in my collection%26gt;Videos





I tried to drag and drop the file into my collections and it says media type invalid. I was told i would be able to sync my TV Shows to Zune.





I have heard stuff about Dolby Digital and stuff and about Hd and SD recording .





Can someone give me step by step instuctions to sync these files onto my zune?


And if I have to record in this SD thing tell me how to do that?Help With Media Center syncing to my Zune?

Is the AMD Turion Dual Core Rm-71 2.1 GHz faster than 2.2 GHz Intel P4?

I am interested in purchasing the WinTV-HVR950Q hybrid TV stick. However, I am not sure if my computer meets the system requirements.





My computer is a HP Pavilion DV5 with an AMD Turion 鈩?X2 Dual-Core Mobil RM-72 2.1 GHZ processor. My graphics card is the ATI Radeon HD 3200


My operating system is Windows Vista.





The system requirements listed for the WinTV-HVR-950Q are:


Minimum processor recommended:


2.2 GHz Intel庐 P4 or 1.8 GHz Centrino or equivalent

I do not know enough about computers or processors to know how to compare and AMD to and Intel chip.

AMD wins out runs intel only with the help of it's BUS architecture called Hyper Transport(HT).


Advantage of HT is that it has a separate up and down lanes going in and out of the processor for each memory channel, while intel's FSB architecture has one common channel shared by all.





This will be clearly seen when you play a game, video editing, etc where you will need a lot of memory reads and writes, while in intel's architecture processor waites for data AMD's HT will enable the smooth deliver of all the time...





AMD still lags behind in power consumption and heat...





but intel has already replied to this AMD's HT via it's ';quick path'; and ';DMI'; in it's latest ';core-i'; series processors...





i would recommend core i-7 of intel...





quick path of intel is much similar to amd's HT...

VHS to DVD conversion?

I have a friend who has asked me to convert a vhs tape to dvd, I might add its a recording, not a cinematic movie, so not copyrighting violation.





I have a vhs/dvd recorder that I have not been able to use to record from one to the other so far, and all the manuals have not been open on whether I can even do that with it. I also have a tv tuner with composite run by windows vista premium's mce.





My two questions are:





A) How can I play an external dvd player/ vhs/ gaming system using mce so I can record it and....





B) Could I play the tape on channel 3 with one vhs player hooked up via coax then record channel 3 with the dvd recorder?

If your tuner card has a channel 3 input, or if it has audio-video jacks, you can play your DVD, game, or vcr into your computer. You DO need software to capture the video into a file, such as an avi or mpg. Several companies make the software, Ulead, Pinnacle, Dazzle, AVS Media, to mention a few.





Then using your DVD burner and burner software, such as Nero, etc, you can create a DVD from the video file.





And since you don't have manuals to do a direct transfer from VHS to DVD, yes, you can take channel 3 out of the VHS and use the channel 3 into the DVD recorder.





Last item, legally you can still do this for copyrighted movies, too. Anyone, by law, is permitted to make a backup copy for their own use, and it doesn't have to be the same technology. And it's legal for someone else to do the work, as long as the owner keeps the original and the copy. Of course, you still need the technical equipment to overcome the copy protection scheme, which sounds like you probably don't have.

what you should do is take every thing that's not stock of the computer and sell the stock computer and sell all the upgraded parts separate so you get more cash.
Your computer won't be worth a lot but you will find some people who would like it. I don't mean to brag but my laptop has 4GB of Ram, and Nividia 8900 video card, so having only 1GB of Ram isn't a lot. However I would estimate because you have a tv tuner card, and Vista Ultimate your computer would be worth around new $750-$800 but used around $400.

depends ona few components. comp is worth maybe $50 save the surround sound windows licenses. also the tv tuner could be valuable depending on its quality (nice ones could add another $30+ to the value, easy). sound set up could be worth anywhere from $20 to ... maybe $140? also are the monitors included and if so what kind are they? a couple 17'; crts is almost worth paying money to get rid of whereas a matching pair of 17';+ lcd's could add $60 or more to the cost. take a look at ur stuff and tell me. what's it worth?

I think all is good for the specs, but one. I have heard alot of bad things about vista. The Wal-Mart near where I live have slashed the prices dramatically since they have sold vista computers. I believe it is to early to buy the windows vista as there is alot of bugs in the programing. Try to find or build a computer and use XP as this is already stable and you wont have as many headaches with this version.Urgent help with laptop !! =]?

I was thinking of upgrading my cpu, or is this enough seeing as how its still dual core and I'm running 2 gigs ram, also my video card doesn't use any ram. Also should I run two internal hard drives or keep my one 250 gig and just leave it partioned, which is optimal for perfomance? I have no need for more ram because only 64 bit versions of vista can read 4 gigs and up, I'm using the 32 bit version.Do you think my pc is good or should I upgrade more?
It really depends on what you're doing, but to me it looks like you've got a kick-b眉tt system as it is. It should be fine for everything from heavy-duty gaming to intensive work such as CAD and video editing.





The only upgrade you might consider is adding another hard drive if you're going to be doing a LOT of stuff with video (editing, downloading movies, etc.). Other than that, your system looks **more** than just fine. Enjoy your machine! :-)Do you think my pc is good or should I upgrade more?
the only thing i would bother upgrading is ur graphics card and maybe go to raid ... upgrading ur processor will give u no felt benefit unless u do alot of video converting or real processor intensive tasks ... however, going to raid will make the whole system more snappy .. and the 7300 graphics is ho-hum at best ... and oh yeah one more thing .. i would upgrade to XP and get rid of vista ...
Get the Nvidia GeForce 8800 GTX, best graphics card ever. Period.
I was gonna say the processor could do with imrpoving but then i noticed it was dual core. To be honest I think that would cope with anything you threw at it.
I would say going to SLI if you are a gamer. You could get a new board to support that CPU that will also be a SLI compatible board. Get another 7300gt bingo...nice gaming rig. As it stands, I think upgrading the HDD to a SATA 3.0 drive would give you some benefits also. other than that, I see nothing....
To tell the truth, your spec is fine. The only thing that I would change/upgrade is the Video Card to maybe the 7900 or the 7950 or even better the 8600 or the 8800 - if you do gaming.





However if you just do surfing the web or word processing, your spec is fine.
You have a nice machine. Depending on what you want to do. CPU is pretty nice, no need to change. If you can afford it, an Nvidia 8800 would be a good move. Currently the only cards that support direct X10 (which you can use w/vista). Ram is prob good for now. No need for two drives, although a 10k rpm would be sweet.
